Wietze Lise is a Senior Economist and Energy Markets expert with more than 20 years of experience. His main area of expertise is in power and gas markets both in Europe and Turkey. He also has excellent knowledge and experience in energy economic modelling, economics of climate change and resource management.
During his twenty years of research and consultancy experience, he worked in Holland at several research and consultancy companies who were leaders in the energy and environment field. In addition to that, he worked together with multidisciplinary teams both in Europe and Turkey, and acquired, produced and managed numerous projects.
Wietze has worked with leading international and Turkish utilities and energy companies. He has advised them on investment decisions in the Turkish power sector thorough financial and economic assessment and evaluation of the Turkish power market in cases where investors needed an independent second opinion from a third party in their applications for finance in their power plant investment plans.
He holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Twente University, Holland and a PhD in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, India.
